The music festival O Gozo Festival returns to Santiago de Compostela with its second edition in 2024. The event will take place on July 6 and 13 and comes with new features and world-renowned artists.
The event brings a lineup full of internationally known names. The Englishman Ed Sheeran heads the list and arrives to give his first concert in Galicia on July 6. The singer, known for songs like ‘Shape of You’, ‘Perfect’ or ‘Shivers’, is a star with more than 56 million albums and 150 million singles sold worldwide. But he will not be alone and, on that day, he will be accompanied by the Germans Milky Chance and the Colombian group Bomba Estéreo.
The second weekend of the festival will be dominated by electronic music. In fact, O Gozo Festival has collaborated with the Barcelona Beach Festival (BBF) to bring a great list of renowned artists of the genre. Among the confirmations are Armin Van Buuren, Claptone, Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell, Koro Lova, Marshmello, Timmy Trumpet, DJ Nano or Groove Amigos.
A successful first edition
O Gozo Festival, which has the support of the Xunta de Galicia through the Galician Tourism Agency, was born in 2023 and scheduled concerts starring renowned international artists such as Robbie Williams, Zaz or Martin Garrix between March and November in different Galician cities.
During its first edition, more than 40,000 people from 17 countries attended, and it sold out 5 of its 7 dates. The economic impact of the festival was enormous and helped to project the Galicia brand.
The event seeks to consolidate itself as a solid music event in Galicia. Therefore, in 2024 it promises to become a meeting point for important industry professionals.
